Emotional Processing

We are emotional beings. But we really aren’t taught to be emotionally responsible. For example, we are taught that someone else can “make us mad.” Instead of understanding that no one can make you feel anything. Instead, we are each responsible for our emotions and how we handle them. The mad comes from a trigger within us that the person just happened to set off.

(More about taking responsibility for your emotions can be found by searching Emotional Intelligence or looking at programs like More To Life. See www.moretolife.org for more information about their seminars.)

Once we learn to be responsible for our feelings, we can use each feeling as a guide to find our triggers, things that set us off. Once we find the trigger, we can delve inside ourselves to find the origin of the trigger and resolve or dissolve it. It feels amazing to get rid of those burdens.

Louise Hay looked at emotions in another way. She collected data and published a book called You Can Heal Your Life that lists the emotional reasons for physical problems. She discusses tools that can be used to overcome the emotions and thereby overcoming the physical issues. See www.louisehay.com for more information on this remarkable woman.

There are many ways to resolve / dissolve triggers. I have listed some here, but please know, this list can be limitless.

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
  • Bio-Energetic Synchronization Technique (Dr. Sones)
