About me

I get it. It is always interesting to know a bit more about the person behind the words. So here goes:

The first thing I want to tell you about myself is that I don’t see obstacles. I never have. I feel like I can do anything if I just want to badly enough. So that is what I do. I see life as an adventure, a challenge, a series of puzzles to solve.

I love life. And I love adventure! I love solving problems, including life’s challenges with people. (People are endlessly fascinating, aren’t they?!) I have always been very logical and analytical, sometimes preferring math and logic problems to a good book as a way to relax.

In school my strengths were in athletics, math, science, literature and writing. I went on to get a degree in Applied Math/Engineering. It took me 8 1/2 years between learning to study, going to 4 different schools, and making the decision that school was important.

I also love to learn. I have learned about nutrition, craniosacral therapy, spirituality, past lives, reflexology, aromatherapy, and herbology based on life experiences. I wanted to get a Master’s in Nutrition, but life intervened, resulting in a divorce and a lot of responsibility with almost no time to myself.

I always wondered what my life purpose was. Why had I learned and experienced so many alternative healing modalities, but wasn’t called to use them? UNTIL the fateful day when I felt the lump (around Valentine’s Day 2017). It took 3.5 months to be diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, stage 2. But when the diagnosis came, I was ready. I realized, after looking for so long, that my life purpose was to use my already acquired knowledge, love of learning and passion for healing to walk a path that few others choose … The path of finding the root cause(s) of my cancer so that my body could heal. And so that I could write about it and talk about it. I started my journal right away.

This website contains most of those journal entries. This is my story; my journey. You can start here.

So come on in, step into my world, grab a soothing beverage and experience a piece of my life.
