Radical Remission

Radical Remission: Surviving Cancer Against All Odds
By Kelly Turner

Kelly Turner, an oncology social worker, specializing in counseling cancer patients, stumbled upon a story of a person with advanced cancer surviving without conventional therapies.  Her interest was piqued, and she decided to get a Ph.D. studying the unique cases of spontaneous healing.

She created a website (https://www.RadicalRemission.com) to log and track cases of spontaneous healing, or Radical Remission, as she calls it.  The database is also fully searchable.

In Kelly’s research she found nine factors that most survivors did to some degree to heal.  They are:

  • Radically changing your diet
  • Taking control of your health
  • Following your intuition
  • Using herbs and supplements
  • Releasing suppressed emotions
  • Increasing positive emotions
  • Embracing social support
  • Deepening your spiritual connection
  • Having strong reasons for living

Kelly discusses each topic in a chapter and includes scientific research, stories, and suggested actions.

I highly suggest this book.  It has valuable information and is written in such an upbeat manger that I finished feeling so positive and ultimately happy for all of the Radical Remission survivors.
