Excellent! Happy birthday to Ian. Happy birthing day to me.

My Alien Abduction speech was received with laughter and applause. I very much enjoyed hosting the contest. I just really love being in front of people.

After work, I went straight to Donna’s house. We collected Judy and went straight to a restaurant called Local Table in Cypress for dinner. I suggested that we all go out because Ian was supposed to have dinner with his father. And I wanted to celebrate the end of the “reign of terror” (read sarcastically). Ian is 18 so the divorce decree holds no sway over my life any longer. I think I need to have a decree burning ceremony as well as a celebratory dinner with the girls. 

Patti brought up a memory. She recalled the day I kicked my ex-husband out of the house. I went to her house with the kids and she put The Three Amigos DVD on for the kids to watch while I shed a few tears. I think I was probably in a state of shock.

No matter. It is over now. 

Had a lovely dinner with Judy, Patti and Donna. I told them that I was going to look into moving back to the neighborhood. They were all so excited. It is wonderful to be so loved. Ummm. Feels warm and cozy.

Got home from dinner to ten kids hanging out with Ian at the house. He went to a play and was eating pizza with his friends. Obviously, he didn’t have dinner with his father.
