Exercise! I haven’t felt like exercising for a very long time. And the odd thing is that I love to move and feel strong. I have not felt strong for quite some time … probably since the divorce when I got down to 118 lbs. I felt horrible. I was so thin. I felt like someone could snap me like a dry chicken wishbone. Pop! “Oops, there goes Susan.”
It was supposed to be a 45-minute session. I think it took about twice that. And none of the exercises were strenuous.
But, I guess you have to start somewhere.
[Looking back, I wish I had kept a copy of my first workout. It was so basic. So easy. But publishing it here would make me feel like I have accomplished something great. I would be about to say, “Look how far I came!” My recollection is that we did some stretching to warm up, some body weight exercises like squats and some upper body exercises with the bands.]
My daughter’s boyfriend, Ethan, works out a lot and wants to be a trainer. He is supporting me and I am supporting him. He created a workout plan for me. My plan is to workout with him once a week until I build up some more stamina and then go to twice a week.
