I received a phone call from Dr. Allibone’s office. He got the results back from the tests he requested. I gave permission for a synopsis of the results to be sent to me over email. Here is the information it showed:
- MTHFR Defect
My blood test showed a defective gene. He suggested that I add methylated vitamins and removed any folic acid. According to the lab report, “Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase is a key enzyme in the folate pathway and is responsible for the metabolism of homocysteine. There are two common variants of the gene, C677T and A1298C.” I have both variants (mutations) so I am compound heterozygous.
- Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis
My blood test showed that my hypothyroid disorder has moved into an autoimmune disorder. He suggested we check for leaky gut and do some food sensitivity testing.
- Hormone Balance
I tested low for progesterone and testosterone. He suggested that I add progesterone to my routine.
- Inflammation
My C-reactive protein was slightly elevated. He suggested I add boswellia and curcumin to my regimen.
- Immune System
My immune system markers show that my immune system markers were all low, showing that my immune system function isn’t as good as it needs to be. Clear underlying infections and add bee propolis.
A few things to look into more deeply:
- Low Iron
- Creatinine slightly elevated
- ESR is elevated – check for underlying bacterial or fungal infections.
- Vitamin D is low. Add sublingual drops.
