The Oil and Gas Industry is struggling along with many of the other industries. The price per barrel of oil has been low for quite some time. I don’t really keep track of the news, or politics for that matter, but I have heard something about Russians or Saudis and how they have manipulated the prices such that they dropped. I can’t confirm, deny or control any of that. I do see what the low price per barrel and the reduced consumption due to Covid has done to the industry. Slowly things are shutting down. Projects are being cancelled. People are being laid off. I figured my time was coming. Honestly, I felt bored and ready for a change. (I wouldn’t tell my boss that. But now that I am off, I feel relieved. And, my PM often acted like a bully. Not a comfortable work environment.)

So, on Wednesday, November 4th, I was laid off. At least they waited until after my birthday to deliver the news.

Interestingly, I had mentioned to a few select friends and my Wisdom Practice Partner that I wanted to create something new for myself.

My desire to do something new reached the Center of the Universe and the Universe answered back.
