Today is Day 58 of the bloodroot experiment. This piece of tissue that is seriously holding on by a very small thread is the eschar. I was sort of playing with the piece leaning out and it fell out in my hand.
The blood root has extracted this tissue, not without some pain, but as far as I am concerned, very gracefully. I am amazed. As we have always said in sports, “No blood, no foul.” Meaning that this process can’t be condemned (no foul) because it is clean (no blood).
From what I read, the white spot in the middle of the cavity represents more tissue that needs to be removed. Bloodroot can be applied on top of the open cavity, but it is not recommended, as it is said to be very painful.
I turned the eschar over and took the picture to show the side that was connected to my body.
The most amazing part to me is how this heals. The tissue closes itself up so beautifully.
