Imagine a deck of cards with beautiful pictures of angels and messages rather than suits and numbers. The thought is that Angels can communicate with us through these cards. I wanted to get Angel cards so that I could receive clear messages about my healing journey.

I picked up the cards from my friend Melissa. She had a bag! Full of cards! And I got the biggest, best, tightest, most loving and supportive hug from Bobby, her significant other. I felt nurtured and loved from that hug. I can still feel his arms around me and my face and body up against his broad well-padded chest and his warmth enveloping me like a blanket. Ahh. I’m relaxing into it right now. The Angel cards came home with me.

When I got home I excitedly got ready for bed, crawled in, and pulled out the Angel card box, “Archangel Raphael Healing Oracle Cards” by Doreen Virtue are the best. So, the routine is that you say a prayer, ask a question, and shuffle the cards until you feel it is enough, and pick the top three cards. Mine were:

• Increased Energy – So cool because I’ve been saying that I need to increase my vibrational energy. The card description says, “Your energy is increasing as a result of recent positive changes. This is your validation to continue on your present path.”
• Use Your Natural Healing Abilities – Awesome because I feel that I do have natural healing abilities. After all, I am, and my family is, very healthy. The card description says, “This card is Archangel Raphael’s way of urging you to work with your own energy, spirit and thoughts to affect healing. Your strong desire for renewal and restoration is a powerful remedy and treatment.”
• Easy Does It – Wow! This spoke to me because I have been practicing “Being” rather than “Doing” and I’m planning a juice fast and retreat for myself while the kids are gone. The card description says, “This card is a reminder to stop, slow down, relax and breathe. Archangel Raphael says that you have been pushing hard against the grain of life, with an exhausting effect. Therefore, he is guiding you to take it easy, and give any worries and cares to him. …this card is also a message to retreat for a while.”
